For sale is the legendary Leica Summilux-M 75 in black color, serial number 3574517. This famous lens is perhaps the finest portrait lens of all time and was the personal favourite lens of the designer Dr. Walter Mandler himself, the most famous Leica optical engineer of all time. This particular example is made in 1991, but it is still in absolutely wonderful condition and ready to serve another thirty years. This sale will also include B+W’s multicoated E60 filters (CPL + 0.9 ND) and Lens Taab focus ring for smoother focusing experience.

Lens condition
Item in mint condition and a complete cleaning, lubrication and adjustment was done recently by Leica Wetzlar in June 2018. Therefore, the lens is in perfect condition and is 6-bit coded by Leica, so this really is a bullet proof purchase. Aperture is smooth, clicks nicely, focus is silky smooth and accurate. No scratches, no haze, no fungus, glass is mint condition. Note: the lens is 6-bit coded which makes it much more convenient for digital use. For proof of recent CLA see pictures.

What is included
The lens, original lens caps (rear + front), original leather pouch, B+W E60 103 ND 0.9 MRC (3 stop filter), B+W KSM HTC Polarizer MRC (CPL) and TAAB Hefty Lens Focus Ring (Black). Both filters are multi-coated and represent the best in the class and offer class. All filters are in great shape. TAAB Focus Ring also really helps for smoother focusing experience.

Leica M typ 240 black color digital rangefinder+ two batteries+ EVF+Multifunctional Handgrip+ Luigi leather case plus other accessories. The camera was bought in 2014 and I am the second owner of the camera. I don’t know exact shutter count as Leica does not let us see the shutter count, but my own rough estimate is around 35 000 images. Note: the camera went through a complete CLA in June 2018, which included sensor calibration and adjustment, cleaning, lubrication and rangefinder adjustment of all parts. Condition
Functionally the camera is like new. Recent CLA made sure of that (see pictures for proof). All buttons work and there are no surprises. Cosmetically there are signs of use with the brass wearing of in some parts, particularly on the top plate (see pictures for yourself), a typical feature of used Leica cameras, but in my opinion it only makes the camera even more sexy! ;-) LCD is scratch free as I always have worn a protective plastic on the screen for protection. No scratches on rangefinder windows either. Focus is accurate.

What is included in the box
-Leica M type 240 digital camera (black, serial number: 4807209) with all original accessories, including two original batteries, original box, documents, battery charger, instruction manuals, original unused Leica camera strap
Olympus VF-2 Electronic Viewfinder (Black). EVF works great without any problems. Please note that the plastic “rear cover” is missing fom the EVF.
-Luigi Crescenzi hand-made leather half case for M 240.
-Leica Multifunctional Handgrip M # 14495 in mint condition with original box + Leica Finger Loop for Handgrip M # 14647. This handgrip also includes GPS unit and it works very well.
-A custom made SCA-Adapter Set for Multi-Functional Handgrip M (Typ 240). This is designed by myself with the purpose of replacing the overpriced (in my honest opinion) Leica SCA-Adapter Set #14498 with more affordable and convenient solution to be able to use EVF and strobe lights at same time. And yes, with this set the M 240 does make a wonderful studio camera as well. The SCA-Adapter Set consists of a flash support bar for mounting the flash on the grip, and the external hot shoe mount which can be used without the support bar for off-camera flash and the required cable. Komaru Titanium Soft Release button, matte. Valued at 59 €, offers very smooth shooting experience. It also feels and looks very nice on M cameras. Surface is micro-beaded for a matte anthracite finish.
