The lens is in very good condition optically and mechanically, but it has one inconvenience: there is a metal filter ring stuck to it. This has no glass and you can still attach other filters on top of it (the lens will be delivered with a Hoya Protector) so it does not affect image quality or shooting in any way. It may also be possible to remove the filter, but I for one didn't want to force it since there's no obvious benefit to it.
