I didn't use it much, can't tell about the previous owner, but seems similar. The lens is in nearly new condition, everything works. The optics is clear, no scratches, dust, or other blemishes. There are maybe minor traces of use on the body, but generally it is very clean. Overall the performance is like seen in the reviews, great stabilization, reasonably bright and sharp. As a budget performance telefoto it's doing its job very well.
